Welcome
Greetings All!
My name is Erica Paproski and welcome to my blog! I am currently enrolled at the University of Regina in the Elementary Program and in my final year of university. I am from a small community located in the Northeast corner of Saskatchewan. While I am home, I enjoy spending time outside snowshoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, gardening and fishing. I really enjoy being outside and I am considering furthering my post-secondary education into the area of outdoor education. Other than spending quality time outside, I like to read, exercise, scrapbook and play Kaiser with my grandparents.
The courses and professors here at the University of Regina have sparked my interest in technology and I have now made it my goal to learn as much about technology as I can and to use it when necessary. During my internship I took many risks, all involving technology. I created wikis, a webquest, created smartboard lessons and used online tools such as Wordle and Voki. Looking back I feel very proud of myself because these are risks that I thought that I would never have taken. Now, the only risk and personal fear that I want to overcome is establishing a class blog. I really wanted to do this during my internship but there continued to be that fear and that unfamiliarity about blogging. With only 4 months to go, I will use my brain as a sponge to soak up all the information needed to learn how to begin a class blog. Join me in my journey as I experiment with technology in ways that may create success and cause challenges.
